Perception Of You!

“But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! -Matthew 6:23

There are often times we can relive situations that we would much rather let die. There were many times I would toss and turn, wrestling with what I thought of myself. I could fight battles outwardly without visible bruising, but inwardly I was losing to my own perceptions of me.

Back and forth scenarios would play in my mind of things that wounded me, things that made me angry, or things that made me feel low, weak and insecure. Of course I would try to rise above those thoughts and tell myself you’re more than your past, your persecution, mistakes you’ve made, you are more than your failures! But my view of me winning and overcoming was still vague and held little to no faith.

Perception by Webster definition, it is the way you think about or understand someone or something.

Is your perception of you a winner, over-comer, mighty, strong, wealthy, inspirational, encouraging, respected, and well known? Or is your perception of you defeated, weak, poor, one who holds no value, overlooked, and broken. I’m not asking about what are others perception of you are, but I’m asking what is your perception of you?

It doesn’t matter what others think about you that determines you fulfilling your purpose and destiny, but it’s what you think about YOU!  Precious people you hold great value, NO longer prolong the promises God has for you by the negative thoughts you hold onto about yourself!

When David perceived that his son was dead before his servants had even told him. Do you wonder how he was able to move on without stumbling or falling back into self-pity? How was he able to forget those things that were behind him, and move on with such strength and might?

Was the enemy tugging at his mind??? saying David,"This is a big one David, you may have killed that giant Goliath but you’ll never be able to kill this Giant FAILURE in your mind!"

It's time to avoid those setbacks caused by faulty perceptions of who you are. Start perceiving your situation as though you’ve already overcame and that God has already went ahead of you in battle.
It's time to change the perception of you!
